An unglazed stoneware pourer for tea, water or sake, crafted by New Maker Yuichi Romita. Shaped on the wheel with a thin spout that allows for a smooth, controlled pour. Each form is wood-fired, carrying natural variation in tone and texture.
Based in Malmö, Sweden, Yuichi draws on techniques honed during a four-year ceramics apprenticeship in Japan. His elegant, functional tableware reflects an intentional balance of tradition and innovation.
This item is part of our New Makers programme. In its eighth year, five makers demonstrating excellence in skill, originality and craftsmanship have been chosen by a TOAST panel. We offer a platform to sell their pieces as well as mentoring until the end of this year, with full profits being returned to them.

Details
Stoneware. Each piece is wood-fired, resulting in a natural variation in tone and surface. Subtle changes may emerge with use, reflecting its material and making. Wash gently with warm water. A small amount of mild detergent can be used if necessary. Allow to dry fully before storing. Avoid leaving liquids inside for extended periods. Not suitable for dishwasher or microwave use. With time, the surface may develop a soft patina, deepening its character through use.
